G'Day,
congrats to the so far quite elaborate SysDyn modeling environment! Have started to play around a little, and did hit a boundary:
I have
1. set up a spreadsheet and populated with test data (columns named the same as the diagram variables),
2. added a History Data sheet to experiments,
3. filled in the properties window with the range
.....BUT do not get the variables displayed in the "Variable in range" box- thus the historical data is also not shown on the graph.
Would anyone have a clue why that is?
Thanks for helping,
Rick

Re: No "Variables in range" for History Data
Hi,
playing a little more with the tool I found out, that arrays that are supposed to be imported via a spreadsheet also do not work. I do get the error message " -TestArray[Enum1.size]: No value for TestSheet.E2_G2" although there is data in the cells an the respective TestArray=TestSheet(E2:G2)....
Might there be an array/spreadsheets problem in the libraries? Or am I missing something here completely?
Thanks for any input,
Rick

Re: No "Variables in range" for History Data
Hi, and sorry for the delayed reply (I had somehow completely overlooked this topic).
It seems like the spreadsheets are actually somehow broken in the current version of the tool. I also tried to get the history dataset functionality to work and it just throws an exception even when the data in the spreadsheet and the range are both correct. We'll have to figure out what has caused this but it might unfortunately take some time because all the developers are currently preoccupied with other things.
Basically the same goes for your second point. Reading individual values from the spreadsheet seems to work (at least occasionally), but reading arrays seems to be broken. This is a bug in the Modelica code generation which is hopefully easier to fix.
I'll try to remember to post here again once the issues are resolved in the latest nightly builds.

G'Day,
thanks for the reply....correct, single value/cell import does work.....looking forward to see the fix, since the spreadsheet import and export are quite nifty functions.
Cheers, Rick

Hi,
I'm also facing problem with getting values from spreadsheets to array variables. Is there any solution?

Re: No "Variables in range" for History Data
I'm afraid our development has been targeted toward other features lately, so there is most likely no fix for this problem.

Hi,
sorry, but not following up a pretty basic import error seems rather odd.......
