Hi all, need some help on simulation.
I have built up a model in simantics. It runs but then throws up some NaN values after some time. That can be changed by modifying the least count of the simulation time.
How to do that? any help would be most welcome. Also, if needed, I can also attach my model file here.
Update: I figured it out. Clicking on the "model" lets you choose the time et al.

Re: Some issues in simulation
Hi,
If the simulation diverges, you'll get NaN. You can also try to change the solver in Model Properties - Method (Euler, Runge-Kutta, etc.).

Re: Some issues in simulation
Hello Everyone,
I've just started using Simantics and really like the IDE, however, very frustrated with the simulation not showing anything in the trend nor am I able to change the simulation execution period from 10 s to 30 s. I've started with the basic tutorial, and disappointed, especially with a very nice UI and comprehensive set of functions. Could someone please help? I need to simulate a Business Model with varying inputs/outputs and this simple tutorial isn't working---I'm sure it's me & lack of experience with this product. Thanks

Re: Some issues in simulation
The trend view will show the results when they are available (i.e. the simulation has been completed successfully) and a variable is selected either in the model browser (the list on the left) or in the diagram editor. The simulation parameters (including the simulation duration) are changed by selecting the "Configuration" item in the model browser.sanjb wrote:Hello Everyone,

If you can not find the model browser or the property editor (you can hide them accidentally), I recommend resetting the perspective from Window -> Reset Perspective.
Re: Some issues in simulation
Thanks, you've clarified my confusion, and I'm now able to view the results. But, even after resetting the perspective I'm still unable to view or modify the properties. By right clicking the Configuration, there's no option in the drop-down to modify properties, thus, unable change the stopTime. Would appreciate further assistance. Thanks again
Re: Some issues in simulation
For modifying the properties of your model the model (or Configuration) needs to be selected via the model browser (light blue highlight color). Also the Properties view (with small spreadsheet like icon) needs to be actively visible for the properties to be visible.sanjb wrote:I'm still unable to view or modify the properties. I'll attach an image which hopefully clarifies things even further
Re: Some issues in simulation
Appreciate the screen capture; seems I needed to select view SD Model and now I'm able to successfully modify the properties. Thanks again
