Description

The excel function "LINEST" that has been implemented under spreadsheet.graph.formula is not implemented correctly.
F-test value is simply skipped and set to 0, rather than actually calculating it, and the null values that remain in the result SpreadsheetMatrix are shown in excel as #N/A, rather than blank cells as is the case now. However, those are only the minor issues with the current implementation of the LINEST function.

The excel file provided here as an attachment (test3.xlsx) contains a simple case of LINEST in action. This small test causes NullPointers and NaN for all calculated values. The current implementation seems to be for a very specific data set, rather than being a true implementation of the LINEST function.

test3.xlsx - Test values for a simple case of LINEST in action. (13.7 KB) Miro Eklund, 2016-06-30 07:13 pm
